Based in Kent they work throughout London and the south east and as far as Birmingham, the Midlands or Cardiff and Wales, servicing clients such as the ExCel Centre in London, Harrods Apartments and Skanska.

The Challenge

London & Kent Air Conditioning faced a number of various challenges. Scheduling daily jobs were time consuming and admin heavy. Previously, they used a paper based scheduling system in which a spreadsheet would be manually emailed out to engineers on a daily basis and time-sheets which were sent back by the engineers at the end of a job.

There were often difficulties with the return of these time-sheets, creating delays with reporting and invoicing. Pictures taken on site had to be emailed in separately and then this would be added to the reports manually.

All of the required forms needing completed in the field such as the servicing reports, inspections and F-Gas certificates were completed on paper forms and then transported back to the office for manual data re-entry and stored within a client record folder.

The Answer

Klipboard field service and job management software was implemented within London & Kent Air Conditioning, providing an efficient way to schedule and allocate jobs from the office to the field engineer.

They can now manage job scheduling and seamlessly allocated to an engineer's mobile app. Using our drag and drop scheduler tool, they have total insight into their scheduled jobs, team availability along with the ability to easily move jobs around if they need to react to any emergency call outs, etc.

They have greatly reduced the amount of paperwork admin by collecting everything they need with Klipboard's mobile forms, removing the need for paper and instead moving to a digital version for the servicing reports, inspections and F-Gas certificates.
